Ceramic Fiber, Carbon Fiber & Aramid Fiber Yarns
              for  High Temperature Insulation

Ceramic Fiber Products

Ceramic fiber product is manufactured from high quality pure ceramic fiber. Which classify temperature included 1260¡ëC and 1430¡ëC. Series product from bulk, yarn, cloth, tape, round braid, square braid, ladder tape, twisted rope, blanket, felt, paper, board, module, tubing, sleeving, etc. they reinforced with glassfiber, stainless steel wire or inconel wire.
All of them are free of asbestos.
Ceramic fiber is ideal product used in asbestos replacement, high temperature furnace, flue line insulation and refractory.

Ceramic fiber contains approximately 18% organic fiber, which burns out at high temperature. But has no effect on the properties of the products.

Applications:

1) Heat insulation materials for covering
2) Spark receiving sheet, protective clothing, gloves, helmet, boots
3) Heat insulation in industrial furnaces, furnace curtain, furnace door
gaskets
4) Composite friction brake liner
5) High temperature pipes and vessels insulation, Flue liners
6) Diesel engine exhaust wrap, vehicle engine heat insulation cover
7) Cable covers and cable tray insulation, electrical insulation
8) High temperature valves and flanges sealing
9) Fireproof door, fireproof curtain, Fireproof blanket
10) Molten metal filter
11) Extreme low-temperature containers heat insulation wrap
12) Aircraft heat insulation material
13) Substitutes for asbestos textiles and other similar products with higher
temperature
14) Fireproof to be used in the kitchen

High Temperature Yarns

#   Fiberglass Yarns

E-glass single yarn is suitable the domain to include: electron insulation material, electronic industrial fabric and other industry fabrics. It represents the profession: the electron industrial glass fiber fabric (CCL, PCB, PWB) and anti- burn insulating glass fiber fabric.

Specifications: EC G75 1/0,EC G150 1/0,EC E 225 1/0 & EC D450 1/0

#   Silica Yarn

Silica yarns is a special fiberglass yarn which contains more than 96% silicon dioxide, loss on Ignition <10%. With excellent heat resistance, it can work at the temperatures of 1000 centigrade degrees for about an hour and withstand at the temperatures of 1800 centigrade degrees for short-time .

High temperature yarn is composed of amorphous silica continuous filament fiber.

Applications: Silica yarns is used in applications requiring small diameter materials that resist high temperatures, electricity, and the effects of many corrosive substances.

#    Ceramic Fiber Yarn

It is manufactured from high quality ceramic fiber. It has been mechanical twisted to give it tensile strength. Ceramic Fiber yarn is available as E-glass, stainless steel wire or high temperature Inconel alloy wire reinforced yarn from 525 Tex up to 2500 Tex in two or three plies of single yarn twisted together in order to form a heavier yarn or higher strength.

#    Carbon Fiber Yarn

Carbon tow; carbon fabric, chopped carbon fibers; milled carbon fibers, carbon veil; carbon powders; Carbon fibers are made by converting Polyacrylonitrile fibers under heat and pressure into high strength, high modulus carbon fibers.

These carbon fiber are then further processed and converted into:

Carbon Chopped Strand
Carbon veil
Carbon Tow
Carbon Fabric
Carbon/Kevlar hybrid
Milled Carbon

The carbon fibers contain high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios, carbon fabrics are thermally and electrically conductive and exhibit excellent fatigue resistance. When properly engineered, carbon fabric composites can achieve the strength and stiffness of metals at significant
weight savings. Carbon fabrics are compatible with various resin systems including epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester resins.

Carbon fibres inherently are high in tensile and flexural strength, tensile and flexural modulus, conductive, inert to most chemicals, light weight, and as such, they are widely used in the following application:

Archery Equipment; Aircraft parts; Artificial limb; Bridges; Conductive Floors and Walls; CNG fuel tank; Decorative parts; Golf shafts; Instrument cases; speed boat and Yacht; Process Rollers; Rackets; Race car; Structural Strengthening; Ships component;

#    Alumina-Silica Fiber Yarn

Alumina-Silica Fiber Yarn is composed of Al²O3(alumina) and SiO2(silica) which is available in combination of A/S=60/40,72/28 & 80/20.

ALF Ceramic Fibers are refractory alumina-silica fibers with diameters 7-10 microns.

A/S 60/40 can continuously withstand temperatures up to 1200 º C.

  • Excellent Thermal Resistance

  • Great Flexibility for making textile fabrics

  • Super Thermal Insulation

  • Super Electrical Insulation

  • High tensile Strength

  • Does not absorb moisture

ALF yarn of 60/40 type has been used as heat & electric insulation material of electric wire & thermocouple cables.

Silicon Carbide Yarn Stimulates Development of New Composites

The creation of new types of fibers has, in the past, stimulated the development of equally new composites. Besides the most commonly used glass and graphite fiber types, a number of newer ceramic fibers have been introduced: Fiber FP by DuPont and 3M Company's Nextel are two recent examples. In addition, a silicon carbide yarn is currently available from the Nippon Carbon Company of Japan. This last fiber, called Nicalon, has created a great deal of interest because of its unique suitability for reinforcement of resin, metal, and ceramic matrix composites. I will briefly describe some of the characteristics of this ceramic yarn and the composites that have been fabricated with it. While these data are of interest, it is probably more important that this fiber has stimulated wide enthusiasm for fibers and ceramics created from organometallic precursors.
